Coaching and Leadership International Inc. ("CLI") a British Columbia company, is committed to protecting the privacy of users to this Website and for users of our on-line services in accordance with the requirements of Canadian Federal and Provincial privacy laws.
This privacy statement details how CLI collects and uses of personal information of users of this Website or our on-line services and outlines our privacy commitment to you, the user, as well as our privacy practices. CLI wants all users of its Website and on-line services to understand the purposes and uses for our collection of user personal information and we want to ensure that CLI has your consent to continue to collect, use and disclose your personal information for those purposes and uses as set out below.
At the same time, CLI wants its privacy statement to meet the highest commercial standards that establish trusting relationships based on respect for personal identity and information by promoting the use of fair information practices. Information Collection and UseInformation CollectionCoaching and Leadership International Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on www.coachingandleadership.com including all sub-domains. CLI collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our Web site. If you use the 'Licensee Log In', the 'CLI Store' or our on-line services, such as requesting demonstrations or presentations, we ask you for your name, firm or company affiliation, email address, mailing address, telephone number, fax number and some miscellaneous preferences. This information allows us to fulfill your request to contact you regarding these service offerings and provide other services as requested.
User PasswordIn order for CLI Licensee's to use some aspects of this Web site, the user is assigned unique identifiers such as a login and password. The username is related to their email address. We use this login and password to allow access to this special web site area and to keep Licensee's apprised of CLI bulletins etc.
BillingFor billing purpose, we request the following information, (m) refers to mandatory; (o) refers to optional information. The decision by users not to complete the optional information may affect their full usability of the www.coachingandleadership.com Website.

We do not collect or request social insurance or social security numbers and do not retain credit card information on our database. Contact information, such as business address and email address from the user and financial information, such as credit card number and expiration date are used for billing purposes, and if we have trouble with billing, the information is used to contact the user.
We store 'Customer ID' information for future purchases and user contact purposes when requested to do so by the user.
We may disclose personal information if legally required to do so such as to protect our rights and property, take emergency action regarding personal safety or where required by operation of law.
Information UseWe collect and use the information to process and fill your orders, to facilitate the services requested by the user, to improve the services and features of the Web site, to customize our services or delivery of information to you on the Web site to make the users' use of the Web site more effective and efficient, to resolve disputes, to troubleshoot problems and enforce this privacy statement. We automatically track certain information based on the user's use of our Web site. We use this information to do internal research on our user's demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand the users and our client base. We track information regarding the URL that the user came from (whether from our site or not), which URL the user may go to next (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser is being used and the user's IP address.
We use information to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to improve our content and product offerings, and to customize our site's content, layout and services to better meet the needs of users. We collect information to generate statistics and aggregate reports for internal use only. These statistics and aggregate reports will not contain any personally identifiable information. Personal identity is kept anonymous.

The www.coachingandleadership.com site has specific sections available to all users and other specific sections that may be accessed by Licensees only.
ProfileWe store information that we collect at the CLI Store to create a profile of our users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that details their Customer ID for the CLI store. We do not share your profile with other third parties.
We do not use robot exclusion hardware and therefore, others may illegally attempt to automatically collect a Licensee's email address from our site.
CookiesA cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while a user is on our site. We use session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.
We use cookies on certain pages of our site to help analyze our Web site flow, measure promotional effectiveness and promote trust and safety. We may offer certain features that are available through the use of a cookie. We may also use cookies to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. Cookies may also be used in the future to help us provide information that is targeted to your interests.. These cookies are "session cookies", meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session.
A Persistent Cookie is used to allow access to our 'Free-Self Coaching' section (cookie terminates in 1 week). A peristent cookie is also used to monitor home page visits. In this way a user does not need to view the 'flash' introduction on every visit (cookie terminates in 1 year).
A user is always free to decline our cookies if their browser permits, although in declining a cookie, you may not be able to use certain features of our Web site and you may be required to re-enter your password more frequently during a session.
Third Party AdvertisingWe do not do any external advertisement. We do not aggregate (gather up data across all user accounts) information and provide information in a non-personally identifiable manner to advertisers and other third party for promotional purposes.
This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by www.coachingandleadership.com only and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
Log FilesLike most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use such as web site stats. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)We do not employ the use of Clear Gifs.
Communications from the SiteSpecial Offers and UpdatesNewsletter If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name and email address. Out of respect for our users privacy we provide a way to opt-out of these communications.
Service AnnouncementsOn rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature.
Customer ServiceWe communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users wishes.
